How to create a stylish inexpensive magazine rack by yourself

I was feeling bored about thinking how to arrange my books at home, so I thought of whether I could make a magazine rack or book rack for myself, I mean DIY bookshelf. So, I started browsing at Google searching for easy book rack, but I found that there's a magazine rack which seemed quite easy to make. I thought it could be possible by just using cardboard.
